Michael Jackson was a prophet…

Sorry meant Michael Jackson turning a profit.

Bleedin predictive text!!!

Seems that death gets you a get out of jail free card these days, musically speaking that is.

Michael Jackson guilty or not of what he was accused of, suffered financially from the rumours of his pecadillos.

Now I have no idea if he was guilty or not, but neither am I 100% sure that Gary Glitter was guilty and just writing that makes me feel queasy.

It’s funny though that Michael Jackson can be given a reprieve in death, all is forgiven Michael because at the end of the day Billie Jean is just a superior song to Rock n Roll Part 2.

It’s a nonsense is it not?

It’s creepy really, people have been in mourning and HMV have been rubbing their grubby little hands.

I say let’s kill Jonathon King and see how much money he makes.

Oh sorry I forgot, talent IS the byline here.

‘Entertainment group Chrysalis says its trading in the three months to June 30 saw an “extraordinary surge” in sales of Michael Jackson’s recorded music.

Chrysalis publishes a number of the late singer’s hits, including Thriller, Rock With You and Off the Wall, all written by Rod Temperton.

Millions of Jackson’s albums and singles have been sold worldwide since his death on 25 June.

The firm said its overall financial performance was in line with forecasts.’ -

I think you are forgetting that both times MJ was repreived of the crime charged against him, and both times was charged under tenuous circumstances – just a brief look back at the cases shows clearly that both families got what they wanted – money.

Lets say someone messed with your child – how much money would be enough to justify his actions? Of course, nothing, you want a prison term. What parent that actually cared about real events would accept any amount of money?

On the flipside, Gary Glitter is a convicted paedophile. You can be 100% sure that he did it, because of the wealth of evidence against him, and only a very small portion of that evidence used to convict him.

Its not like they are RUMOURS that never got investigated properly, they did get investigated properly. For MJ, twice. Both times aquitted. Gary Glitter, once, convicted.

    Not the same thing.

Thanks for coming back at me with that mate, balanced argument.

I’m not saying that Michael Jackson was guilty of anything, but that there was rumour of it.

To use the kids angle that you brought in, would you leave your kids with someone accused of the crime even if they had been found innocent.

    I’m guessing not.

    Rightly or wrongly mud sticks.

I was bristling at the fact that for years no one dared mention his name because of what he’d been accused of but now he’s dead everything’s back to normal.

Michael Jackson doesn’t benefit does he? He went broke because of it.

It’s the profiteers that are laughing all the way to the bank.

  • Realist:

Totally agreed. Lots will profit from his death, hopefully at least SOME of that will go towards his kids. His family would love to get hands on it, but in my opinion, it should stay with his kids.
