Voxengo HarmoniEQ 2.2 harmonically-enhanced equalizer plugin released
April 8th, 2012: Voxengo HarmoniEQ update version 2.2 is now
available for download. Voxengo HarmoniEQ, available in AudioUnit
and VST plug-in formats (including native 64-bit support), for Mac
OS X (v10.5 and later), and Windows computers, is a parametric,
harmonically-enhanced equalizer plug-in for professional music
production applications.
Note that on Mac computers, HarmoniEQ now supports Mac OS X v10.5
and higher only, running on Intel processors. Mac PowerPC support is
not available.
Version 2.2 update includes the following changes:
* -6 dB/oct low-pass and high-pass filters added.
* Window resizing implemented.
* Native 64-bit AudioUnit and VST support on Mac OS X added.
Since the easiness of tuning was one of our goals when producing
this plug-in, HarmoniEQ features a single control surface to control
the equalizer curve. HarmoniEQ’s control surface workflow implements
our best findings in the area of “user-equalizer” interaction. Just
drag the filter control points to the right places. You can enable
up to 7 parametric filters, with the filter type freely-selectable
from peaking, low-shelf, high-shelf, low-pass, high-pass and notch
filter types.
HarmoniEQ features:
* Harmonically-enhanced equalizer
* Dynamic equalizing
* Real-time spectrum analysis
* 7 parametric filter bands
* Narrow-band sweeping
* User interface window resizing
* Stereo and multi-channel processing
* Internal channel routing
* Channel grouping
* Mid/side processing
* Up to 8x oversampling
* 64-bit floating point processing
* Preset manager
* Undo/redo history
* A/B comparisons
* Contextual hint messages
* All sample rates support
* 11 ms compensated processing latency
Voxengo HarmoniEQ is available for purchase on-line for USD 79.95.

Free VST mono plugins – Monitor your mix in mono
Looking to monitor your mix in mono?
Throw one of these vst plugins on your master bus.
These VSTs will convert stereo to mono and more besides.
DFX – Monomaker
Monomaker is a simple mono-merging and stereo-recentering utility. You can use it to progressively mix down a stereo signal to mono and you can use it for equal power, center-shifting pans.

BetaBugs – Moneo
Moneo - is a stereo plug-in which treats each channel as a separate monaural source. Each channel may then have its volume attenuated, its position in the stereo field panned, and its sonic character altered with a resonant lowor high-pass filter if you so choose. Moneo is equally comfortable with basic functionality (forcing mono) or inventive destruction of a source’s original spatial and spectral identity!

Kelly Industries – Stereo Tools VST Plug-in
Overveiw
The Stereo Tools VST Plug-in is a simple to use utility plug-in that allows you to pan or position both the left and right channels independently of one another. This is a 2 input and 2 output plug-in. It works well for stereo files that you don’t want to have to convert to mono or if you want to fix a problem with the stereo file. For instance with the Stereo Tools plug-in you can MUTE one side of the file and then pan or position the other side to the center. You can then pan this file using the Nuendo or Cubase panner. You can also use the plug-in to remove the center information (voice remover), as well as sum both the left and right channels together. You can also work with files in the Mid/Side format.

Free Sampler VST plugin – Short Circuit
Don’t be a slave to the preset get your hands…
Looking for a simple to use VST sampler and it has to be free?
Then look no further than Vember Audios – Short Circuit.
Brilliant bit of software, easy to setup.
Pips to use.
I got my first sampled instrument made and played in less than ten minutes.
Load your sample, assign it a note, load your next note….
There are lots of other features I guess but for me it was exactly what I wanted.
Taken from Vember Audio:
“Sampling is supposed to be fun
Prior to shortcircuit it wasn’t as fun as it could be.
Shortcircuit was created as a reaction against the ongoing trend where software samplers are being designed with the primary intent of library playback. It is intended for people who, like us, consider a sampler to be a musical instrument in its own right, and not just a way to emulate other instruments. It has been a very high priority to make sure that adding and editing individual samples is as fast and logical as possible.
The sample hierarchy in shortcircuit allow you to place samples directly at the highest level of the multi, without having to deal with instrument hierarchies and patches. Want to add a sample to your song? Just drag & drop the sample into shortcircuit and you’re ready to go. Samples can be put in groups for multi-sampling and kit-building, but the complexity is only there when you need it.” – Read More
Heres a video tutorial on youtube:
The Short Circuit VST ssampler also built in filters, modulation, distortion, eq, bit reduction, gating, limiting and oscillation.
You can create simple instruments by just loading or drag and dropping samples.
Want more then try messing with the built in additional controls.
Love it!

2Rule Filter:
“2RuleFilter” is a self-resonant moog type filter that allows the filter cut-off frequency to be controlled manually, or by LFO, or by an envelope follower. It has a interresting feature called “scrambler” that plays filtered signal randomly depending on the selected beat. The “mix” knob mixies wet and dry signals, The “volume” knob is for setting the output volume level. The”Bit crusher” produces hard sound. Using its scramble feature you can maintain the rhythmic, choppy, buffered and tempo sync output.
- High Pass, Low Pass, Band Pass filter
- Modulation of filter cut-off frequency by LFO (tempo-sync), manuallly or envelope follower(reversable)
- Bit crusher (16bit to 1 bit)
- Scrambler that devide one measure to different time intervall and plays beats randomly.
- Mix ballance in between dry(input signal) and wet(filtered and bit crushed).
- Sensitivity that allows the filter cut-off frequency be changed from roughly to smoothly. This effect is the same of parameter smoothing.

This is a MIDI-controllable filter, that gives all your plugins or synths that famous thick sound you all know well. It is stereo and has MIDI control. Put it as an insert into your audio track or behind your synth plugin. Use the frequency and resonance dial for a static sound, or feed it with MIDI-notes to use the integrated envelope generator!
V1.2 has a new GUI (on request of a major company, who thought it looked too similar to their products), an envelope follower, two more filter types (BP, HP) and a faster envelope.
Available for Windows PC as VST-plugin.
